Text Data Import Wizard

This tool helps users to import data from their existing text files into a geodatabase. The tool works similarly to the Text Import Wizard in Microsoft Excel.

In the following example, a user has well data that they want to add to their Arc Hydro Groundwater database. If they use the Text Data Import Wizard to import this data, they will see a dialog like this:

After selecting the delimiting options and clicking Next, they will see the following dialog. The combo box at the top let’s the user chose the table or point layer they want to import the data into.
